How does the Network influence change?
The Tower Hamlets Community Empowerment Network elects representatives to the Tower Hamlets Partnership Management Group and the five Community Plan Action Groups. THCEN representatives provide these groups with local knowledge and information on voluntary and community organisations and their users which helps the Borough develop better local services.
The Tower Hamlets Partnership’s aim is to improve Tower Hamlets for local people. It brings together all of the key stakeholders - residents, the council, the police, the health service, public services, voluntary and community groups, faith communities and businesses.
The Purpose of LAP 4 Local Area Response Group
- To establish a Local Response Group in LAP 4 to enable local people to engage with Tower Hamlets Community Empowerment Network and the Tower Hamlets Partnership.
- To act as a community portal for local residents and other voluntary and community stakeholders to access the Tower Hamlets Community Empowerment Network -Community Knowledge Bank.
LAP 4 Local Area Response Group aims to inform, involve and empower local residents to be interactive and influence the way in which services are planned and delivered though Tower Hamlets Partnership, in particular Local Area Partnership 4.
